Hello! I’m Benedikt Markus, an amateur photographer based in Berlin, Germany. I created this website to share some of the quiet, beautiful moments I’ve captured along the way.

Through photography, I perceive the world differently. It invites me to pause, notice subtle details, and shift perspectives. In doing so, it helps me appreciate the beauty and wonder that often pass us by. For me, photography is a way to deepen how I perceive and experience the world, both inside and out—and a source of wonder and contemplation.

For those curious about the technical aspects of my astrophotography, I’ve included detailed notes on the settings and techniques I use. These serve as personal documentation and resources for fellow enthusiasts exploring this field.

In addition to photography, I’m sharing some of the scientific research I’ve been involved in. Both science and photography are creative ways to observe, understand, and communicate the intricacies of the world around us. They both inspire wonder and contemplation, which is why I’ve brought them together here.
